Morocco World News

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs of Morocco declared that Tuesday. August 2, 2011 is the first day of Ramadan of the year 1432 (Muslim calendar).

Most Arab states have announced that Monday, August 1, 2011 is the first day of the holy month due to the lack of evidence that proves sighting the crescent of Ramadan.

The religious authorities in most Arab countries, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, the Palestinian territories, Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Libya and Mauritania said that Sunday is the completing day of the month of Shaaban and Monday will be the beginning of Ramadan.

On this happy occasion, the staff of Morocco World News is delighted and joyful to wish all our visitors as well as all Muslims all over the world a happy and blessed Ramadan. May the Almighty bless all of us with mercy, tranquility, forgiveness, good health and longevity. We pray to God that this month of Ramadan will bring with it peace and happiness, repentance and piety and ease the pain and sufferings of the weak and the needy.

Ramadan Kareem with best warmest wishes.
