Rabat – AS FAR drew today’s game 2-2 against their counterparts JS Soualem, as part of Day 13 of the Botola Pro 1 championship.
The first half ignited with both sides racing to score an early goal for their teams.
In the fifth minute of play, Soualem’s forward Younes Sakhi managed to open the scoring for his team, to make up for their recent defeat against MC Oujda.
However, FAR were close to tying the score in the 17th minute when winger Ahmed Hammoudan missed a ball that went past the right post.
Demonstrating their perseverance, FAR tied the scoring just minutes before the end of the first half, with a goal scored by defender Khalid Ait Ouarkhane.
In the 70th minute of the second half, forward Houssine Rahimi added a second goal for Soualem, by landing the ball inside the goalkeeper’s empty box.
As the game drew to a close, AS FAR bounced back offering their team a second goal with a header by forward Alaeddine Ajaraie.
As part of the same tournament, the Wydad AC and OC Safi’s match, which took place today, ended with a 2-1 score in favor of the Safi team.
On the other hand, Agadir’s HUSA and MAS Fes’ match registered the same score in favor of the HUSA club.
With these results, AS FAR are now taking the lead in the standings with 27 points, while JS Soualem sit in 13th place with 12 points.
Wydad has maintained third place with 23 points, HUSA 15th place with 9 points, and Raja CA second with 27 points.
