Denver- Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is among a group of several prestigious airlines comprising the Oneworld alliance to win the 2021 Skytrax World Airline Award for Best Airline Alliance.
Oneworld won the award based on a 23-month customer satisfaction survey that interviewed travelers before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the survey, Oneworld’s superior customer service and satisfaction rates led to the group being voted best airline alliance.
Oneworld consists of a group of fourteen airline companies from countries around the world. In addition to RAM, Oneworld alliance members include Finnair, Iberia Airlines, British Airways, American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas Airlines, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian Airlines, S7 Airlines, Sri Lankan Airlines, and Fiji Airways.
This marks the fourth time Oneworld was given the title of best airline alliance in the world. The group includes airline companies from Europe, Asia, Africa, the US, and Australia.
Many of the group’s prestigious members also took home individual awards for superior airline qualities. RAM was named 2021’s Best Regional Airline in Africa. Qatar Airways won this year’s Airline of the Year award, in addition to five other awards. Other individual winners included British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Iberia Airlines, Japan Airlines, Qantas, and S7.
Skytrax is a UK-based airlines consultancy group that also runs a well-respected airline ranking and review website. The annual Skytrax award is one of the most coveted titles for airlines around the world, and is often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry.”
