Rome, February 18, 2012 (MAP)
A group of young Sahrawis attacked the headquarters of the Polisario in Tindouf (Algeria’s south-west) calling for the resignation of its Secretary General Mohamed Abdelaziz, also president of the so-called “RASD,” International news agency Misna reported.
The attack mirrors the discontent especially among the young Sahrawi over the lack of progress in negotiations with Morocco, underlined the same source, recalling that it follows one on Saturday outside the Polisario offices leading to clashes and the arrest of three youths.
During the latest attack, the youths demanded the release of their three companions arrested on Saturday, all members of a reformist group calling for change in the polisario leadership and Abdelaziz’s resignation.
