Morocco: Damn Justice that Celebrates the Marriage of the Rabbit and the Snake. Raping Amina is Raping our Justice, our Laws, and Ourselves.

Mr. respected judge, this message is not for you as a judge, but for you as a brother, a father, and as a human being that has dignity and self-respect. Would you accept sitting, eating, talking, and living with the wild animal who raped your sister or daughter or your cousin? How would you feel towards the person who raped the flower of your daughter and deprived her of her childhood, virginity, her human capital, her essence, and her raison d’être?

Would you accept being the father-in-law of the person who raped a friend’s daughter or another person’s daughter? Would you enjoy living with him in the same household? Could you bear ever to look into his eyes?

I am sure you would never be able to do so if the issue was concerning your own daughter. I am certain you would prefer to kill him or kill yourself rather than sit with that savage animal around the same table, let alone share the bed with him every night and every morning as his victim must do.

Dear Sir, put yourself in the shoes of the little raped girl whom you forced to marry that criminal. He raped her once, and you gave her to him on a golden dish to rape her every night and every day. Did you not think about her feelings and emotions? How could she be the wife of the one who forced her to lose her virginity, tortured her, and caused injuries to her heart and mind that no doctor or psychologist could ever cure?

She was only fifteen years old, and at that age she is not just the daughter of her father and mother, she is your daughter too. Mr. Judge, she is our daughter and the daughter of the whole country. How could you allow yourself to again sign the certificate of marriage for a criminal you should sentence to death or you should, in such a case, be firm and brave and cut his sexual organ in public to make him an example for anyone who would dare to rape an innocent girl?

As a teacher, I used to teach my students that when we “educate and protect a girl, we educate and protect a whole nation.” Today I find myself obliged to say that when you rape a girl, you rape the whole nation, and when we offer the innocent girl to the one who raped her, we are giving the whole nation to the one who raped it.

Today, Mr. judge, and through you I am talking about our judicial systems and laws, it is not Amina alone that is raped, it is you as a judge, her parents, her community as a whole. When you agree to make her marry the one who raped her, you are, consciously or unconsciously, legitimizing our collective rape as citizens of this country. I am sorry, but it is the bitterness that is talking from the deepest parts of my heart as a citizen and as a teacher who should be watching Amina attend lessons, learn and study with her peers and friends instead of forcing her to be a slave in the bed for a wild animal to rape her every second and every minute. In fact, this is a national shame for all Moroccans: men and women.

As reaction to this national and judicial injustice, Amina chose to free herself and her body, she chose to die once rather than to feel herself, her soul and her body raped everyday and a thousand times. Now Amina is a free soul and an angel watching our so-called justice from the heavens. She preferred to join the kingdom of God, the just, rather than be enslaved by the injustice of humans. Amina is a tragic hero. She died so as to revive our consciousness, to raise and stop the conspiracy between law and criminals.

Today, Amina, you are in peace, but you left us to stand up and fight for the peace and justice in our country. You remind me of Patrick Henry, who said: “Give me Liberty, or give me death.”

Dearest Amina, I imagine you, Sister, crying for us all “to give you liberty or to give you death.” Sorry, Dear Little Angel, we didn’t hear your scream until you had already made your choice, and gave yourself the freedom through death. We will never forget you, Dear. You have left us and you joined the kingdom of love, justice, and peace, singing those Shakespearean verses: ”It’s better to be with the dead, who we have sent to their peace to gain our peace, / Than to lie on a bed, / Tortured of the mind in a restless frenzy. ”And to our judges and all those who love this beloved country, its daughters and children, I quote Macbeth: “We have crushed the snake, but we haven’t killed it, / She’ll recover, and be herself, while our evildoing / Remains in danger of her poisonous bite.”

Dearest Readers, Amina is in her grave after her life is over, she sleeps well. And damn this Moroccan justice that forced the rabbit to sleep with the cobra inside the same box, damn the justice that can force anyone to sleep and satisfy the sexual desires of a sick person. If I were Amina, I would do what she did: either be allowed my freedom or choose my death. God bless your soul, Dearest Sister, and God damn us all who watch and remain silent.
