Rabat – Moroccan group Techniques Science Sante (T2S) and American company General Electric (GE) Healthcare have signed a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening their cooperation that began more than three decades ago.

GE Healthcare specializes in manufacturing healthcare machines, while T2S specializes in their maintenance and distribution.

By virtue of this partnership, T2S Group said in a statement that it has become the exclusive representative of GE Healthcare in sub-Saharan Africa. The Moroccan company is also in charge of distributing health solutions and providing continuous training for technicians on the continent.

Based on the statement, the T2S group and GE Healthcare pledged to facilitate access to modern medical technology in sub-Saharan African countries and to provide them with the latest technologies and machines, which will contribute to ensuring faster and more accurate medical diagnoses.

“We are very excited after signing this long-term partnership with the T2S group, with whom we have worked for more than 35 years,” Rob Walton, President and General Manager of GE Healthcare in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa said.

“Today, the Moroccan group will undertake the task of expanding the coverage of our solutions and the possibility to access it in French-speaking Africa,” he added.

Speaking of the T2S group’s qualities, Walton further explained that GE Healthcare chose to work with the Moroccan company for their “good capabilities.”

He added that T2S works “to meet the needs of all users of GE Healthcare solutions and to ensure an effective after-sales service.”

T2S has been attempting to accelerate the introduction of advanced medical technologies to sub-Saharan countries, as it seeks to enhance the exchange of expertise in the health sector with a group of regional partners.

Abdel Raouf Sourdough, General Manager of T2S, said, “We have worked for more than 3 decades to support GE Healthcare to be one of the leading companies in the Moroccan market in the distribution and maintenance of high-tech medical machines,” stressing that “thanks to the experience we have accumulated, we have become recognized experts in this field.”

“In order to implement this new mission, our main priority revolves around training users, both male and female, to use modern technologies,” he explained. “Doctors from all over the continent will benefit from training in Morocco, which will enable them to access the latest technologies in the field of diagnosis and treatment.”

The training courses will be held within the Private Higher Institute for Studies in the Medical Professions, where GE Healthcare has equipped a training room that includes various devices and clinical programs for various medical tests.

T2S group is present in 17 African countries, including Morocco.

Thanks to the new partnership, the T2S group will be able to expand its presence across the African continent and benefit from GE Healthcare’s expanded employee network, with the aim of creating new partnerships in other countries such as Madagascar and Djibouti.
