Gabon Wants to Draw Inspiration from Morocco's Green Plan: Minister

Meknès – Gabon is willing to draw inspiration from the Moroccan Green Plan which is a success story in the field of agriculture, said, on Wednesday in Meknès, Gabonese minister of state Mathieu Mboumba Nziengui, on the sidelines of the 11th Morocco’s International Agriculture Fair (SIAM 2016), which will run from April 26 to May 1 in Meknès.

Gabon, which was the guest of honor of SIAM 2013, is eager to draw inspiration from the Moroccan agricultural development model dubbed “Morocco’s Green Plan” which is, for us, a success story, said Nziengui who was speaking at the opening of the 3rd Forum on Agriculture Financing in Africa, organized by the group “Crédit Agricole du Maroc” and magazine “Les Afriques” on the sidelines of SIAM 2016.

He added that SIAM tops all African fairs and has become a must-attend meeting for agriculture as it offers a platform to discuss the different themes by leading agriculture operators.

Nziengui lauded the choice of this year’s theme as it is related to the COP21 and the preparation for the COP22 which Morocco will host next November in Marrakech.
