Rabat – Industrie du Maroc hosted on Wednesday the third edition of the Global Industry 4.0 Conference, an AI Conference in Casablanca.
The event aims to advance Morocco’s strategy for the development of digital technology in the country by 2025.
The conference brought together leading experts, professionals, and industry stakeholders from across the world to explore the transformative potential of AI and its implication on the economic and societal landscape in Morocco.
“Artificial intelligence can be used in different places such as infrastructure to enhance the skills and capacity for the industrial environment,” said Amal El Fellah Seghrouchni, a keynote speaker at the event. It can also be used to enhance the production and personalize the services provided by the industry. Today there are a lot of startups that can benefit from AI such as Health and Finance.”
In a press release, Industrie du Maroc stated the development progress that AI continues to revolutionise various sectors such as healthcare, education, industry and financial services.
“The potential of AI in reshaping our society and economy is immense. We must come together as stakeholders to ensure that AI is developed and utilised in ways that align with our core human values,” stated keynote speaker and AI expert Fatima Ahmed.
The event highlighted the impact of AI on the Moroccan economic and industrial ecosystems. Discussions revolved around the opportunities and challenges presented by AI and emphasized the role of startups in driving innovation and introducing disruptive technologies to the market.
“Morocco has to be ready for the 2030 – 2035 production of Lithium batteries able to adhere to Morocco’s temperature that exceeds 50 Celsius. We are in the process of developing methods by which we can keep safe and exceed the normal temperature to 90 Celsius,” said Rachid Yazami, one of the event’s keynote speakers. “We have developed a revolutionary method that reduces the time of battery charge to as low as ten minutes. This method has been tested on electric cars and scooter batteries.”
