Rabat – The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Al Thani, renewed his strong condemnation of the Israeli aggression targeting civilians in Gaza.
During his opening remarks at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit in Doha, the Qatari emir described the situation as a genocide.
“This is a genocide committed by Israel,” the emir said, stressing that Israeli occupation forces have violated “all political, ethical and humanitarian values.”
He also denounced the inaction to tackle the situation, saying that it is “a disgrace upon the international community to allow this heinous crime to continue.”
Israeli occupation forces have recently been intensifying their attack and murderous campaign in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
The intensified bloody war comes amid a fragile health system unable to respond to the devastating situation in the Gaza Strip. Israeli occupation forces have been also targeting hospitals and their vicinity, resulting in tens of thousands of casualties.
Al Jazeera quoted Director General of the Health Ministry in Gaza Munir al-Brush, who said that Israeli occupation forces have “laid siege to the facility of the Kamal Adan Hospital from all sides.
“Patients and those who took shelter here are gripped with fear and overwhelmed by horror… The Israeli forces are attacking with the aim of forcibly removing all those inside the hospital. These are patients, victims and displaced civilians,” he said.
This comes as the Israeli occupation intensifies its search to identify Hamas leaders.
Controversial security minister Itamar Ben Gvir, has accused laborers from Gaza of spying for Hamas since October 7.
“Laborers from Gaza who worked in Israel, participated in the Hamas massacre plan, gathered information and spied for a terrorist organization, and the members of the Conspiracy Cabinet decided to release the laborers back to Gaza and bring in more laborers from Israel,” Ben Gvir wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
