Rabat – Brazil is set to face Mexico in the Kings World Cup Nations today at 7 p.m. Moroccan time in KL Arena, Milano, Italy.
Fans can catch the live stream on the official Kings League YouTube and Twitch accounts.
Brazil has proven since the start of their campaign that they are an attacking force to be reckoned with. They have been unbeaten so far and are on the top table of the most goal-scoring teams in the tournament, with 28 goals in three games. At the same time, they only conceded 10 goals.
Against Turkiye, they recorded a double-figure score netting 12 goals – the only team to have achieved this feat in the competition so far.
On the other side, Mexico started their campaign with a 4-2 loss against the United States. But since then, The Tri-Colours put their nose to the grind, cruising past Saudi Arabia 8-4, and beating Germany 6-3 in the last-chance round.
The Mexicans progressed to the quarterfinals to play Argentina in a thrilling game that ended in a 2-2 draw before Mexico beat the Argentinians 4-3 in the penalty shootouts.
Mexico have scored 22 goals so far in this competition and conceded 16. Their defensive line has to be on top of their game to counter the Brazilians.
Both teams are eager to qualify for the final to be played next Sunday, January 12, at the Juventus fortress – Allianz Stadium, Torino.
Meanwhile, the competition has soared in popularity in Morocco. The live-streamed games of the national team have seen a staggering two million views per game across all streaming platforms.
The Kings League was founded by former Barcelona star Gerard Piqué and the streamer Ibai Llanos. The games combine amateur players, professionals, and veterans for a fresh change from traditional leagues.
Games have two 20-minute halves and ties are decided by penalty shootouts.
Each team has 10 players — 7 on the field and 3 substitutes, including a possible guest player.
