Rabat — The School of Hospitality Business and Management (SHBM) at the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) organized today the Internship Network Forum (INF), an event that allowed students to engage in talks with industry leaders.
The event took place at the UM6P’s Benguerir campus under the theme “Morocco’s Hospitality Renaissance: Tradition Meets Global Excellence,” bridged theoretical knowledge with “practical insights,” according to the statement.
“Networking and speed-recruiting sessions opened pathways for students to secure potential internships and build professional connections,” the statement on the event said, adding that the forum was coordinated by second-year students.
The forum also provided a space for dialogue between academia and industry leaders, and featured speakers and panels exploring topics like sustainability, innovation, and industry trends.
The UM6P school, which was created in 2020, has enrolled five cohorts representing 2040 students total since its creation in 2020.
In 2024, the school celebrated receiving EHL certification from the EHL Hospitality Business School (Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne) in Switzerland.
UM6P’s hospitality school is notably the only institution in Africa to hold this status.
UM6P expressed satisfaction with the prestigious accreditation, commending the fact that graduates and future student’s of their hospitality school will now benefit from the extensive network and opportunities associated with earning a degree under EHL status.
