Rabat – Moroccan international Tarik Tissoudali has left Greek side PAOK and signed for UAE club Khorfakkan on a six-month loan deal. The move comes after a bitter fallout with his former club, who reportedly made him train alone.
Khorfakkan announced the signing on Sunday, sharing a photo of Tissoudali on their official X count with the caption: “Welcome Tarik Tissoudali”.
Tissoudali had been at odds with PAOK for months. Despite playing 28 games this season, scoring six goals, and providing one assist, the club sidelined him, forcing him to train by himself.
This isn’t the first time Tissoudali considered leaving PAOK. Twice before, he changed his mind and stayed.
For Khorfakkan, this is a major coup. Tissoudali’s experience and skill could be a game-changer for the club as they hope the Atlas Lion will roar on the pitch and help the team climb the ranks in the UAE league.
Tissoudali started his professional journey in 2014 with Telstar, a club in the Netherlands’ second division. From there, he moved around, playing for different teams, including Cambuur, VVV-Venlo, and De Graafschap. His big break came in 2021, when he joined Gent, a top club in Belgium.
In 2024, he moved to the Greek league and signed with PAOK.
Although he was born in the Netherlands, Tissoudali chose to represent Morocco on the international stage. He first played for Morocco’s U23 team in 2016, scoring the winning goal against Cameroon. In 2022, he made his debut during Morocco’s senior national team 1-0 win over Ghana during the Africa Cup of Nations.
